The Screaming Eagles are proud to once again represent Middletown, NJ in the largest and oldest parade in America! We invite all current High School South musicians as well as 8th grade musicians from Thompson and Bayshore to join us in keeping the tradition alive! Below you will find a schedule of rehearsals as well as a rough itinerary for the day. You can also register to participate and download the parade music.
What to Expect
The band will rehearse on the following dates to prepare for the parade. Attendance at all rehearsals is strongly encouraged. Please inform Mr. Raguseo of any conflicts as soon as possible.
2/9 9-11 am
2/23 1-3 pm
3/9 1-3 pm (SAT Day)
South Marching Band uniforms will be distributed to all students performing in the parade. If you do not currently have a uniform or need to switch uniforms for a better size please complete this sizing form and turn it in to Mr. Raguseo at the first rehearsal.
The cost of participating in the parade will be $50 per student. This covers transportation and a bagged lunch. Please bring a check made out to Music Sponsors South to the first rehearsal.
You can download copies of the music that we will be performing here. Start learning and memorizing your parts as soon as possible. If you are unsure what part you should be playing or need the password to get the music please contact Mr. Raguseo.

The Parade
On Saturday, March 16th participating students will report to the South Band room at 9 am. We will board the buses at approximately 10 am to depart for our staging area in NYC. The parade route is approximately 1.5 miles down 5th avenue. At the end of the parade route we will distribute the bagged lunches and board the buses to return home. We should be back before 6 pm.
